in the city of angels: First day in LA

Hi guys! long time no hear :P
So I've just been running at the beach of Santa Monica. Yesterday was my first day and I was just too tired to write another entry.
Well, yesterday in the morning I woke up and finally met my roommate. He seemed to be a cool guy. Like I thought he is asian, but actually from Japan. So we get to know each other a little bit and then made plans for the day. He said that he and his friends wanted to go to the universal studios and if I want to join them. Of course I said yes cause what else should I do. So we went to the EC school where we should meet them. But there was nobody cause it was a misunderstanding. That's why we needed to go to the UCLA (university of california LA). There we met them and guess what..they were all japanese. So I spent the whole day with japanese people but it was really interesting because it was a complete different culture which I have never got to know.
UCLA campus was really big (see pic), I think even bigger than my hometown :P We were looking for the Tickets there but the ticket corner was closed so we just made some pictures of the campus and went to a mall. One thing more that was interesting, was that they even played soccer :o but not very good :p It's really not an american sport.
The mall...I couldn't believe my eyes when we entered. Bigger than anything I ever saw. We would call this a state in switzerland (okei that's a bit over the top) but still it was really big (also a pic ;) ). We found our tickets and went shopping at the beverly blvd. Where I bought an All Saints shirt (-->pic will follow). For dinner we had japanese food, which was delicious. Back at the appartment we got ready to go to the gym and the day was over. I fell asleep on the couch.

Now it's lunch time, so I'll take a shower and then go to venice to eat something and to buy a skateboard (LA style)
